The event was hosted by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gorunningwithdallam.blogspot.co.uk\/\">Dallam running club<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/howgillharriers.co.uk\/\">Howgill Harriers<\/a>\u00a0 in a relatively unknown part of Cumbria.<\/p>\n<p>The team met up for an early start with a 2 hr drive over to the South Lakes. Registration was a straight forward affair followed by some hot tea, bacon butties and a little banter with some of our local neighbours, Eryri Harriers,\u00a0 Denbigh Harriers and our arch rivals Buckley Runners.<\/p>\n<p>Out first for CRR was <strong>Dan Hurst<\/strong> on leg 1, coming in 15<sup>th<\/sup> in the V40 cat. A quick handover in the pen and it was over to team leader <strong>Jim Davis <\/strong>and <strong>Greame Peacock<\/strong> to take up the race for CRR. The lads returned just under the 2 hr mark\u00a0 with a brilliant time of 1:57:18.<\/p>\n<p>Next was the navigation leg with <strong>Chris Wilcox <\/strong>and<strong> Steve Jones<\/strong> setting of into the unknown. Returning safely in 1:29:10 it was over to <strong>John Montgomery<\/strong> for the final leg.<\/p>\n<p>Overall the team came in an <strong>overall position<\/strong> of <strong>20<sup>th<\/sup> <\/strong>in V40, with over 200 teams competing in all categories.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leg 1<\/strong> was 5.4 miles with 1,648 feet of ascent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leg 2<\/strong> was 9 miles, with 2,559 feet of ascent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leg 3<\/strong> was 7.7 miles, with 1,659 feet of ascent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leg 4<\/strong> was 5.6 miles, with 1,722 feet of ascent<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>British Fell &amp; Hill Relays, Middleton.19th October\u00a0 2014.
